Short selling of Stock Market – is it a reasonable implementation?
Why SG Market allow short selling?
Does Singapore Market too small to allow short selling, as we only have limited transaction volume for the short sell to pick up the share? Does NYSE allow short selling, I don't think so right?
Again is this a standard supply and demand issue?
The 1997 stock market sell down have been too heavy for many people to come into play again.
Also many companies shares are far too below their IPO price despite these companies don’t have bad debt.
Should public listed parent company fully responsible for the result of the spin off company?

Take a look at this stock P/E ratio.
If you think it is worthwhile, you can buy 100 lots ( just less than $1K ) and keep in your CPF account lor,
then you will wait until it grow up to be like Sincere watch stock price lor.......
Sing_Tel after Op_tus $68M write off still can shoot until $3 dollars, I think I can take profit already.....

Now VOIP had impact badly on the telco IDD revenue, as many people switch to lower cost VOIP solution instead of using expensive IDD.
Now , there is another new technology which will impact the airlines revenue in the next 5 years.........

Computer security analysts are studying reports of a worm that may be circulating via a feature in Skype Ltd.'s popular VOIP (voice over Internet protocol) service.
Security vendor Websense Inc. said the worm spreads through Skype's chat feature. Users receive a message asking them to download a file called "sp.exe." The executable is a Trojan horse that can steal passwords. If a user runs the Trojan it triggers another set of code to spread itself.
The first infected PCs appeared in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Korea, Websense reported on its blog on Tuesday. It said it was still investigating the issue.
Not all security experts were in agreement, however. F-Secure Corp. received a sample of the worm and determined that it did not, in fact, target Skype, said Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer. "What's clear is, there's no massive worm outbreak with Skype at the moment," Hypponen said. "We are following the situation."
The SANS Internet Storm Center said it was "hearing some details of a new worm spreading via Skype IM" and asked for more information in a posting on its site.
Websense said the executable appears to be encrypted with NTKrnl Secure Suite Packer, a polymorphic encryption program that makes files look unique to different detection engines. The original site that hosted the code is not serving it any more, Websense said.
Look like most of the comments above have reverserable effect on stock value.
I would like to try some leh..... Take a look at Chartered and Stat_assy, they are still very low price leh compared to previous.
Also take a look at so many local company that have local plant here, their price is still a few cents only leh.....

Many companies are delisting soon and go to the Dragon place to list again, and more liquidity, Not to worry about shorting leh.....

The sneeze in dragon market indicate those penny stock to tumble down in great percentage. Our economic do not really able to withstand the sneezing impact.
So lesson learn, just go and put all your money in the dragon market. Because if you suffer losses thru sneezing effect locally, then you might have the chance of recover from sneezing at a higher liquidity dragon market.
Don't listen to the bull shit media mention about dragon bubble.....
At least before Olympic......

You didn't mention the key point.
The economic did not recover, as most of our local company still fare badly........right?
Dragon market bubbles but their government know that it is the money multiplying effect that can help the country and their own people, especially the locally poor.
So their government will keep a look out for foreigner to disturb their A shares which are for their local......
The money multiplying effect will definitely help their country......
But take a look at ours, short selling shares, throw out share from the tam_ma_say control unit etc......
Our property are the one which really bubbles, and the needle from Is_kandar project in the neighour will burst the bubbles very much sooner than the bubbles of the dragon stock market burst......
For those company that you think your share are being controlled somehow by disposing or short selling, I suggested you'll form a group and send a petition request to the exchange for the stopping of the short selling.
It will be interesting if there is more than 10% companies send in the appeal, don't worry , since your share had already well disposed by some org........there is not much opportunity cost from you.....
The worst you can volunteeringly delisted and list it in the dragon........

We can stop a few days of transcation ( yes, which mean a few B$ lost )but will continue short when market open.
By the time, our share is worthless and they can start siphoning their short selling profit out of local slowly everyday........
